As Elias reached the office door and reached for the handle, Elder Magnus, eyes still on the temple, spoke up, a hint of concern in his voice, “Is doing what is right always the same as doing what is most important?”
"Are you ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ?" The teachers voice bellowed and reverberated off the walls.
-"Of course not? None of us would have joined the church or served missions if we were."
"You aren't understanding the question..." the teacher's voice trailed off and his eyes glazed for moment as if reminiscing of an earlier time, quickly he came to the present again and looked over his students. Pacing, he looked them up and down. His focus went directly to his student's clothing. Recognizing what their teacher was staring at, each one became self conscious of the training clothes each one had been given to wear. Threadbare and worn from the months of training, patches sewn upon patches to reinforce the knees to keep the scrapes and bruising to a minimum. At once he then turned on his heel and zeroed for the exit. As he left his voice penetrated their ears as if he spoke next to them, "Well, you haven't gone out in public yet."
"What? You think we can't wear this in public? We'll do just fine. We aren't prideful." James spoke out.
As the door closed a last message from the trainer eeked through, "That's not what you will be wearing." The door closed with a voluminous thud.
"...[The] men averaged 8 to 9 feet tall in the Colorado desert near the Arizona-Nevada-California line. Howard E. Hill. of Los Angeles disclosed that several well-preserved mummies were taken from caverns in an area roughly 180 miles square, extending through much of southern Nevada..."
"These giants are clothed in garments consisting of a medium length jacket and trouser extending slightly below the knees." said Hill. "The texture of the material is said to resemble gray dyed sheepskin, but obviously it was taken from an animal unknown today."
...In another cavern was found the ritual hall, with devices and markings similar to those now used by the Masons. So far, Hill added, no women have been found. He said the explorers believe that they found the burial place of the tribe's hierarchy. Hieroglyphics,...are chiseled, he added, on carefully-polished granite.
He said Dr. Viola V. Pettit, of London, who made excavations around Petra, on the Arabian desert, soon will begin an inspection of the remains.

"Is there anything in your conduct that you feel you need to clear up with the proper priesthood authority?"
"Uh...no. Unless teaching a woman the discussions and baptizing her is a sin." Elder James smirked, his mind still reeling from the quickness in the decision to transfer him out of his mission back to Salt Lake City.
"Listen. I am not asking you these questions for your benefit. I am asking you them for our protection. You need to be clean. It's best if you can cleanse yourself here, but if you are lying or think this is a game, well, we'll find out in the next room. We have had people die in there."
"A man is saved no faster than he gets knowledge for if he does not get knowledge he will be brought into Captivity by some evil power in the other world as evil spirits have more knowledge & Consequently more power than many men who are on the earth. Hence it needs Revelation to assist us & give us knowledge of the things of God." --Joseph Smith, April 10, 1842
The Pure Blog is alive. The home of the forthcoming hobby book series: The Pure. Random updates and concept art will be put here as they come. I am in Chapters 7-10 of the first book in the series. The book is not named as of yet. The writing would go a lot faster but I am enjoying my time with the concept art.
